How to Reach Mim Tea Garden-Little Forest Homestay

By Road-Wherever you are coming from, you should first try to reach Ghum (also spelled Ghoom), at 7405 feet altitude, From Ghum take the westbound road and Little Forest Retreat in Mim Busty is just 13 km drive away. This is the same road that connects Darjeeling to Mirik, so you may also reach Mim Busty via Mirik and Sukiapokhri.

By Train-New Jalpaiguri Rail station is the nearest railhead about 76 km away, travel time is a little over 2.30 hours depending on traffic on the way

Lepchajagat-Lepchajagat is its close proximity to Darjeeling town yet being able to stay in a picturesque village with great natural views. You may spend the whole day walking around the village and not go sightseeing around. Things to see in the nearby area include

Pashupati – It is a Nepalese town on Indo-Nepal border just 15 km or 30 minutes drive away from Lepchajagat. India tourists are allowed to go inside Nepal for shopping etc after making entry at the border check post, Indian tourist vehicles are not allowed to go inside, so you have to hire a local cab if you want to go the local market on the Nepalese side.

Sukiapokhari or Sukeypokhari is the nearest town, it is just a 4 km walk away through beautiful conifer forest of pine, oak, maple, and chestnut. Though Sukiapokhari does not have much attraction on its own for tourists, you may visit Jorepokhari about a km from the town here. This used to be a natural lake where rare Salamander could be seen, now the entire lake is cemented and decorated, a Shiva temple has also been constructed nearby, there is also tourist accommodation here. The place is very peaceful and offers nice views of the mountains around.

Darjeeling town being just 30 minutes drive (15 km) from Lepchajagat, you may stay here and enjoy all the tourist attractions of Darjeeling town as well.

You can visit some famous villages of Sandakphu Route from here like Manebhanjan, Chitrey, Tonglu,Tumling.

Also, Mirik town is 30 km or about 45 minutes drive away. One can go to Mirik for a day trip and enjoy boating at Lake Samendu there.
