It is 5800 ft small Hilltop village with magnificent view of Mt.Kanchenjunga, surrounded by Tea Garden. It is located inside the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary.
When you reach our resort, cloud welcomes you, a lush green Tea Garden & nearby Orange orchard also tells you a unknown story. Maldiram is very well known tea garden & it is also one of the oldest tea estate in Shelpu Hills of Kurseong.
You can reach a local Monastery by walking, there is also a small trekking trail throughout the tea garden which you can enjoy. You can also visit nearby Senchal Sanctuary.

How to reach Maldiram-
You can take the Hill Cart Road and go towards Darjeeling for about 25 minutes and then take a right turn at Dilaram. An uphill narrow road leads up to Bagora in another 15 minutes or so. The total distance is about 17kms from Kurseong. The quaint village is well known for its variety of birds, forest of oak and pine and of course the rhododendrons. In winter, you can see oranges as well.

Sonam Homestay is located just beside Salamander Camp with great view of Mt.Kanchanjunga,deep valley & lush green Tea Garden in otherside.Mr.Sonam Sherpa is a great host, he is living there with his family from last 15 years. His wife is making mouth-watering local food. He also guide you regarding local tours & history of Maldiram.
Ahaldara of Selpu hills & nearby Sittong village is very close to this place.Anyone can visit Shivakhola riverside by day trip.
